For the past week and a half (give or take a few days) we’ve been having above freezing temps and winds that have been thankfully both melting the snow and drying up the water. With the vast amount of snow we’ve gotten this winter, it’s been a godsend, because without it, we’d be up to our waists in mud & muck! (Even my ducks & geese aren’t fans!)
Today, however, we get this:
This started out as a few teeny, tiny snowflakes about the size of a pinhead early this morning. It got steadily heavier and the flakes kept getting bigger until now we have a full blown snow storm where we should be getting sun, warm(er) temps (ok, to most of you, 38 degrees F isn’t considered warm, but it’s sweat shirt weather for us!) & LESS snow! As of this post, we’ve already gotten 3 inches.
It looks like I may have to break out the snowblower before my husband heads home from work in Anchorage (50+ miles away) where he’s dealing with this stuff on the flightline!
Thankfully, I do have quite a few art projects to keep me occupied inside…if only the birds & horses could water & feed themselves! :)
God bless!
